Taking place on the occasion of Liberation Day in Da Nang, Coca-Cola Street Food Festival 2018 appealed thousands of food lovers to come and enjoy local tasty dishes.
Reminiscence of FoodFest itiniary
Following the success and excitement from the two previous food festivals held in Ho Chi Minh City in November 2017 and Hanoi in January 2018, which attracted tens of thousands of youngsters with their positive feedbacks, Da Nang was the next destination for Coca-Cola Street Food Festival this year. Taking place at the same time with the big national holiday on April 29-30, the street food festival became a must-go destination for all local as well as international food lovers to check out and experience massive food specialties of the most famous tourist city.
Carried out by Coca-Cola Vietnam in partnership with Foody, the leading food advisor website in Vietnam, the “Da Nang Street Food Festival” has been inheritted the core value of the two preceding festivals which set a new standard for street food enjoyment by delivering delicious, cheap, but quality-guaranteed dishes to eaters as well as transmitting the message: all dishes are better served with Coca-Cola.

Excitement activities
Coca-Cola Vietnam took along more innovations and advanced ideas to Da Nang with 35 food stands showcasing more than 50 “hottest” specialties, traditional food and delicious dishes of the central city which were on offer at a broad campus of the East bank park, Dragon bridge. Participants were thrilled by not only the food but also the services delivered at each food stand, altogether it was the best experience and memories of enjoying street food.
At the same time, food vendors were associated with many other interesting entertainment activities including experiencing “giant” food ATM, 3D photo Creative platform etc. arranged to provide participants with an appealing space to check-in, which was a suitable corner for many young people to line up for.

Integrated community actions
Along with those “eat-play” exciting activities, Coca-Cola Vietnam also organized a number of social activities for community integrated in the two-day festival in Da Nang. With a goal to ensure the quality for the “Street Food Festival”, as well as contribute to the city’s propaganda program, Coca-Cola held a training session for women on food hygiene and safety at EKOCENTER Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District. From the training, four booths were assigned to member women manage and sell foods at the “Street Food Festival”.
Apart from investing in production, expanding business scale and distribution system, Coca-Cola puts special focus on balancing social-economic-environmental factors. Therefore, in the framework of “Street Food Festival” this year in Da Nang, Coca-Cola was committed to using 100% paper-based food packaging products and in cooperation with the municiple Youth Union to organize environmental protection propaganda which aims at raising citizens’ awareness about environmental protection, especially marine environment, through interesting activities and games related to waste treatment.

Conclusion – Significant achievements
Coca-Cola Street Food Festival in Da Nang is not only an attractive playground with young style and many memorable experiences, with the convergence of the central region’s diverse culiniary traditions but also brings meaningful and human activities such as protecting the environment, making opportunities for the children from SOS village to attend, feeling the fun on the holiday occasion as well as creates a civilized business environment, ensuring food safety for local citizens.
